Fashion Friday - {v.1}

Holy Cowl....neck!

I have Fall on my mind and one of my favorite things to wear this time of year are chunky, cowl-neck sweaters.  They keep you cozy-warm and they're just so comfortable!  The temps have dropped outside...and this weekend I plan on doing my semi-annual closet switch-a-roo.  I hate the work this entails, but when I'm done, I have a new, clean closet stuffed with clothes that I haven't see for a couple of seasons.  It kind of feels like I've just gone on a shopping spree and am left with a bunch of new clothes!  Yea!
Have a Gorgeous Weekend!

WWD celebrates 100 Years!

NEW YORK | WWD picks 100 designers who shaped fashion | The Herald - Rock Hill, SC
WWD celebrated 100 years! This is one of my favorite blog entries to date - just because I love WWD and I think that it's a phenomenal publication.

The Herald sums up the celebration so click on the link above to catch up on that.

...But what is even cooler is this story I found on WWD's website: http://www.wwd.com/eyescoop/wwd-100-years-3343261 Normally, I wouldn't consider myself much of a history buff...but these 10 moments are pretty interesting.

On..another note, here are some of the faces seen at the party.

Cheers to 100 more Fashion Fabulous years, WWD!

Plaid, Plaid it's so Rad

Plaid, Plaid it's so Rad
I love plaid. Especially flannel plaid shirts with pearl snap buttons. I wear plaid year around, but something about plaid feels very Fall to me. Here are some plaid things I found....It's a Hodge-Podge of everything plaid from housewares - to - apparel - to - jewelry...and everything in between. ....Go Mad for Plaid.

Ladies and Gentlemen, we're in the heart of Fall!
...And that is a GORGEOUS thing.
Orange is every where you look right now....On the trees, the dinner table, the decorations, my wardrobe....and I'm digging it!

Autumn...I love you.

I love Fall...I just wish it lasted as long as summer and winter. It's such a great season, but unfortunately it's over before we know it. I love the smell in the air, the color of the leaves, the cool temperatures, and most of all the clothes. The fluffy sweaters, boots, and hats. I was starting to wander if Fall was ever going to show it's face because we have had 80-90 degree temps for the past couple of weeks. This is not ok with me considering we're now in October. ...But today, I saw Fall...and that ispired me to see what exciting things I could find....

Fall 2010 Trends

I just read the Fall 2010 Trend Report on Style.com.

I am very happy to see 50's fashions on the report. Although I wasn't alive during that period or fortunate to wear the clothes, I am happy to see they are back so maybe while history is repeating itself I'll be able to benefit from the look this time around. The clothes were just so classy and sophisticated back then. I love the pencil skirts and hourglass silhouettes. So feminine and beautiful.

As for the fur on the report. That does nothing for me. I'm not a fan of real or fake fur. I love animals way too much to adorn myself with one or a faux one for that matter. I'm also not too pumped about the menswear inspired clothes.

Last but not least...I dig the big wrap sweaters. I love getting lost in big, fat, snugly warm sweaters. Maybe that's because I spend my winters in the cold Midwest. ...Not sure.
